The World's Most Boring Motorhome?
Elldis Evolution 115
This week is an absolute treat; it's a modern, run-of-the-mill, bog-standard motorhome. Surely, with all these mod cons, nothing could go wrong.
I picked this vehicle to test out because it's typical of the standard motorhome you see up and down the country. I've always wondered why it's so popular. Is it because it's so boring?
I usually prefer the more quirky vehicles that have bags of character. While that was missing from this one, I really enjoyed the comfort and practicality of a boring motorhome.
By boring, I mean it lacks any surprises, but that's not such a bad thing. There's a lot to be said for reliability and practicality. What wasn't dull was navigating the roads of Nottingham in this beast.
Because the cab area is reminiscent of a van, it's easy to forget that it widens out the further down the vehicle you go. That was especially surprising when it came to reversing it in a standard-sized supermarket parking space.
You'll be pleased to know that we put every part of this one to the test. That includes a refreshing shower the morning after I'd slept in it.
Despite all of my preconceptions about the Elldis being boring as hell, this was such an enjoyable motorhome to try out. Join me this Sunday at 6pm, where you decide if this is the world's most boring motorhome.
