Throwback to the Galaxy Days

This week felt like a blast from the past. Although it was a Hyundai rather than my old Ford Galaxy, it was amazing to be back car camping.

For me, this was the most impressive vehicle setup I’ve seen so far. Maybe it’s because I have so many fond memories of starting my journey in the Galaxy.

I really love what people can do with tiny spaces and the fact that Abbey had converted a Soccer Mom’s minivan car into this incredible car camper. It even had a bloody double bed inside - happy days!

So much thought had gone into the design and layout of this setup. It even had a tiny IKEA kitchen unit with a sink, leisure battery, water system, and lighting system. It was incredible.

Aside from the setup being amazing, the downside was that it was an absolute nightmare trying to find somewhere to park for the night. We tried 10 different park-ups, getting kicked out of one of them. It wasn’t the most camper-friendly place, for sure.

I would have loved to focus more on the setup and finding an incredible place to spend the night that would do it justice. Unfortunately, as it turned out, the smallest setup was the hardest to find somewhere to park.

I’ve learned so much from the first series of the new content. Experiencing the new setups and meeting so many different people has been amazing.

This week’s video is the penultimate one of this series, so after next week’s episode, I’ll be back to filming some upgrades on Mary for a few weeks.
