Old School VW Campervan
This week's video
This week it was an absolute pleasure and delight to meet John and his wife, Lou, the proud owners of a beautiful old-school VW Westfalia campervan. It turned out that John has been following my journey since my time in Nepal. It’s always an amazing experience to meet dedicated subscribers.
As he walked me through his setup, it quickly became obvious the amount of passion he has for it and for VW campervans in general. His family has been into campervans for many generations. He can still recall his grandfather’s old VW!
It was incredible that he trusted me to take out his pride and joy, and he was always ready to explain any little quirks or issues, which soon became essential.
The thing about old campervans is that they can be a bit temperamental, and this one was no exception. To say we had a few problems would be an understatement, but you’ll have to watch the full video to see what I mean!
As usual, there was a bit of faffing around when it came to finding food and a suitable park up for the night. I ended up sleeping near a school, which I thought would be safe and sound until, of course, the school run started in the morning.
Despite the troubles, the location was in a beautiful part of the UK, and the van was incredible. It was one that I’d always wanted to try driving, and it didn’t disappoint me.
I’m also experimenting with publishing two videos a week. Today’s is a full tour of the folding caravan from last week, along with an interview with Mary, the owner.
As always, thank you for your support, it means the world to me. And please leave a comment on the videos to let me know what you love and what you want to see more of. I read each and every one of them.
