Are Pre-built Campervans Worth it?
It's a question that comes up repeatedly - what are the benefits of professionally built campervans versus DIY ones? And this week, I set about trying to help people answer it.
Some may say I'm biased because I started my vanlife journey with a self-converted car and then progressed onto a self-built campervan. However, I love every type of campervan and motorhome, whether self-made or professionally built.
As you'll see from today's video, it's not an easy question to answer, but I cover the main pros and cons realistically. Each person will have their own view. I'm not trying to convince anyone of anything, but it's a great topic to look at.
Thanks to Oaktree Motorhomes, I could again borrow one of their pre-loved campervans, an excellent example of the build quality you can expect. I compared it to Mary, my own van, with its unique build quality.
A big obstacle most people face when considering buying a campervan is their available resources. Some people don't have the money to buy a professionally converted van, whereas others don't have the time or space to convert one.
As you'll see from the video, I try to give you the real-life experience of living in each van so you can decide which suits you best. Join me tonight at 6pm for the latest video, and share your views in the comments section; I love reading each one.
