Cabin Fever

An Explosively Entertaining Stealth Camp

This week’s video sees me get to grips with the biggest van I’ve driven so far, a long wheelbase Mercedes Sprinter. Not only was it huge, it was also kitted out with a bloody amazing interior, the most luxurious one to date.

I fell in love with so many aspects of this van, from the quirky shower setup to the beautifully crafted cooker lid. Every detail showed how much thought and effort had gone into making it a unique place to stay.

I loved the fact that on the outside it was vinyl wrapped in a kind of camouflage wood style which helped with the stealth factor. I’m not sure how stealthy it was as I parked up on an industrial estate for the night, but I think I blended in ok.

On top of that the driving experience of a Mercedes was so much smoother than Mary, it made me realise why so many people opt for Sprinter conversions.

This one also had a log burner, and for those who are wondering if I’ve managed to master the art of indoor fires I can assure you I haven’t. There were plenty of cock-ups to keep you all entertained.

As usual the video will be going live on Sunday at 6pm. Join me for some more of my familiar stealth camping vibe and general cocking about while trying not to give myself food poisoning or burn down the van.
