1980s American School Bus

It's Beyond Spacious

This one was huge! It’s a full-size US School Bus from the 1980s that was rescued by two incredible subscribers, Simon and Alison.

Measuring 32 feet long and just under 9 feet wide, it was daunting to drive to say the least. After the fiascos of last week’s video, I decided not to stray too far from where I picked it up.

It used to carry 26 children to school each day in America and was then shipped over to the UK in the early 2000s, where it was snapped up and converted into a tiny home on wheels.

After the cramped conditions of the folding caravan and Mazda Bongo, I really didn’t know what to do with so much space. It felt like it was a small apartment than any kind of campervan.

Don’t get me wrong, there’s no problem with having the space for a few home comforts, such as a sofa and shower. For viewers who love to see me struggle and make mistakes, this one was a bit too easy.

Ironically for the meal, I decided to cook perhaps one of the easiest dishes in the biggest spaces I’d had. In hindsight, I should have gone for something more complex and adventurous.
